Manufactured in accordance with the latest edition of API Spec 7-1 and 7-2.

:: Traceability
Material and process traceability are maintained for each Drill Collar. The drill collar is given a permanent identification number through its manufacturing process, which is traceable to the original mill testing.

:: Mechanical Testing
Material is heat treated full length to guarantee the mechanical properties meet or exceed API Spec 7-1 requirements. Material is maintained within a hardness range of 285-341 BHN, and Charpy “V” Notch testing is maintained at a minimum of 40 ft-lbs at 70єF at one inch below the surface.

:: Phosphate Coating
All new threads are hot phosphate coated to aid in reducing galling and adhesion of the thread compound.

:: Stress Relief Features
As needed on connections of NC-38 and up stress relief features on both pin and box connections can be machined.
